KySat1 speaks

Garrett Chandler here, Technical Team Leader for the KySat1 project. Wanted to take a moment to pass along some great news of progress in the development of the flight software (the software that will go on the spacecraft).

KySat1 spoke to us for the first time just a few days ago. It was truly an exciting event for all of those working on the project. At this time the Morse code audio being created is not being broadcast by the radio system (the radio will arrive here next week) but was instead played through a speaker system we hooked up to the spacecraft temporarily.

If you would like to join in on the excitement surrounding this momentous occasion, you can do so by listening in on a recording of the beacon here.  If you are not fluent in "Morse" (don't worry, neither am I) the translation is "KySat1".
