Wow, what an insightful, yet frightening speech. I remember both my own and others exitement during the heady days of the Apollo program. But, alas, after a few of the landings and the drama of 13, it all just faded away. I felt for sure we were going to open a base on the Moon and then on to Mars. As the speaker points out it is a matter of survival for our species but I feel he left one other point out. Mankind has an inner drive to explore, to expand his horizons. That also keeps us alive, so let's go!
