Kentucky Space talks about proram, design choices at CubeSat Developers' Workshop

Daniel_CDW Eight members of the Kentucky Space team were in San Luis Obispo at California Polytechnic State University attending the CubeSat Developers' Workshop last week. Daniel Erb gave a talk titled "Build Your Own, or Buy Off The Shelf?", where he discussed the advantages and disadvantages of buying off-the-shelf satellite components in comparison to investing the time and effort in building custom hardware. Jason Bratcher gave another Jason_CDW talk, highlighting the Orbital, Sub-Orbital, Balloon, and Infrastructure activities within Kentucky Space. The talks and experiences of Kentucky Space generated interest in the CubeSat community.

While at CalPoly, Kentucky Space's satellite, KySat-1, also passed some significant milestones.
